1) Bluesfest Tickets Thursday July 10/08 - Sunday July 13/08 available for laid off members at the Centre. Two tickets per person while supplies last.
2) Tickets for African Lion Safari, Marineland, and Cedar Point (U.S. funds only) also available.
Vale Inco, Sudbury, is looking to hold a recruitment drive for the laid off Ford trades. Their flyer instructs on how to apply. If they receive enough applications they will come down to Windsor for a recruitment information meeting.

CAW Workers’ Adjustment Centre
The Ford/CAW Local 200 Workers’ Adjustment Centre is a combined effort between Caw Local 200, Ford Motor Company and the Government of Ontario. The objective of the Centre is to help laid-off and displaced workers adjust with the transition from Ford to other employment. The center is accessible to any Local 200 member, including those who have taken separation packages. Members can come to the Adjustment Centre to file their unemployment documents on-line, update resumes and receive assistance conducting job searches. What the Adjustment Centre offers goes beyond that. The Centre sets up job fairs, offers counseling opportunities and is a wealth of information about government services available to unemployed workers.

If you have not handed in your coarse selection for retraining, please do so by May 12, 2008. If you have not received a retraining letter please call the Workers Adjustment Center at 519-256-2936 and we will go over the information with you. We are about to submit our proposal to the Ontario Government and would like to ensure that everyone that wants to retrain into a second career is included.
